Just for ThaiVisa owners or whatever and fellow members:

For the past 24 hours I have problems to get ThaiVisa loaded in my browser (any browser).

I use Pattaya Sophon Cable Internet.

This is what I get after waiting and waiting for a few minutes, see image:

This is what I get after opening my VPN for any location outside of Thailand, within seconds, see image

with-vpn.JPG

The first image when connect to my Thailand ISP, keeps hanging on:

1-ps.googleusercontent.com

or

2-ps.googleusercontent.com

which is probably something that ThaiVisa has added to their website for advertisiment or something.

Of course this post is made with my VPN on, otherwise it would have been impossible to post this.

Yes, there is some sort of routing problem with Sophon/CAT to *.googleusercontent.com which contains some (all?) of Thaivisa's css and javascripts. As the js and css wont load, the page hangs.

As you mention, the answer is to use a VPN whilst waiting for them to fix it.

I'm currently "in" France, from where I have a nice view of Jomtien beach and can access Thaivisa correctly.

Yes

similar problem in Pattaya via 3BB

sometimes loads and sometimes doesn't

after waiting a while double clicking whilst the waiting message is displayed will often reload TV successfully

definately a problem recently and seems to be just getting the home page on TV, other sites no problem

Good to hear. We had many complaints, mostly from members accessing via 3BB.

Phoned 3BB 5/6 times through their dedicated special number, in every case the recorded message said they would contact us, they didn't.

Went int their shop in Big C Pattaya klang and reported that we were having problems, told them about phoning them repeatedly.

They didn't even smile and never said sorry for the inconvenience of you having to come in, in the event that was three days ago and they still havnt contacted us.

Says it all for 3BB doesn't it

Anyone know of a better performing service in the Pattaya area?

What you are explaining is an example of pure Thainess, and will be the same with every provider.

Had to resort to a VPN again on CAT/Sophon just now, so apparently not fixed.

It's not something we can fix. Report to your ISP.

Are you using Google Public DNS 8.8.8.8 - that could help you out.

I'm still having log on problems and TV is very slow. Whatever TV is using it's been a problem for a while. Never used to be like it is now.

When I log on, I get connected but the screen is telling me that I'm not and to retry!

Also, most times when writing I can't access the smilies or anything else in the toolbar.

And now, I was just informed that I can't add more than one new post in a short amount of time, BUT this was the first reply I made. It's VERY frustrating, and nothing seems to change no matter how many people complain.
