Hi All

I am holding a triple entry tourist visa obtained from the UK with my British passport.

Last week I activated my second entry in Aranyaprathet (Poi Pet, Cambodia) after spending a night there. The casinos were great, so great that I want to go back next week. It's a shame there are no casinos in Thailand!

My question is, am I able to obtain a re-entry permit at this border so that I don't waste 7 remaining weeks on my second (current) stamp?

Any advice is appreciated. Even better if someone has actually done this themselves.

You can get a re-entry permit in Bangkok at either of the temporary immigration offices until Friday the 30th and then from Monday the 2nd onward at the main office in Chaeng Wattana.

A single re-entry permit costs 1000 baht.

As I said starting on Monday they will be back their normal office.

It does state that it's for the 3 national legalised labour countries only. That's Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos.

I have a British passport and would hope not to make a wasted trip to this immigration office. I was hoping to go tomorrow since I'm planning on going to Cambodia on Sunday but the office that doesn't state it's for those 3 countries is only open from Monday as you said.

Until Friday those two office will do your re-entry permit.

The one at Major Hollywood Suksawat has been reported as being the best of the two.

Actually, you can stop off in the city of Aranyaprathet, 5km before Poi Pet border crossing and get your re entry permit there at the immigration office, which is next to the police station.

They might work but the OP could well need a local address to put on the TM8 application form. Many offices will want that and some proof of address.

It would not be good to travel all the way there and not get one.

Great success. Went to Hollywood Major today. Not waiting too long. Paid the fee with the application form filled in and after about 15 minutes I was on my way.

It's a bit out of the way though, even for myself with a motorbike.

Also, I was sent to the re-entry desk on the Thailand side as the officer mistakenly thought I needed one. So apparently you can get one at the border. Would have saved me the time and effort but hey ho.

yes i am certain that i have seen a reentry desk in the desk row at aran exit.

so thats 1000 plus 800 baht visa before you even start gambling. plus transport there and back. so how big are you betting squire?
