May 28, 201411 yr wow such a loss for these sad people try phoning and having a real conversation..i really wouldn't be interested in seeing a picture of your last meal... Agree! Agree! Agree! I still enjoy a face-to-face conversation. If that is not feasible, telephone, or Skype will do. Yes, I know, how terribly un-cool, non-PC, of me.
May 28, 201411 yr In case you are suffering from this or living in some other dictatorship, here's something that will help: https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en I assume it has already been mentioned in this thread, but I dont have time to read it all.
May 28, 201411 yr Some TV members seem to have a problem with the 99% of FB users that post nonsense 99% of the time. But FB users have THE RIGHT to post whatever they find relevant. Call them childish, say that they smell bad, refuse to interact with them, BUT RESPECT THEIR RIGHTS. Greetings from the free world. Yes, and it is our right to call them stupid ! What does your stu<<<<< comment contribute to this thread?
May 28, 201411 yr Blocking politically motivated pages only, then confirmed 30 million pages blocked... Someone is a little sensitive.
May 28, 201411 yr Social media is the tool of choice foe opposition in all countries now - so it would make sense to shut it down......how about Twitter? Yes and you are now seeing the drip drip of military government after the euphoria of the payment to the rice farmers. Please don't label me as a red for saying that - as seems the fashion from some, I'm just an ordinary joe with no axe to grind one way or the other. It's their country, not mine ,but I still feel uncomfortable about it.

May 28, 201411 yr I see Oak stopped his postings on 19th May. As far as I am concerned the coup was the only answer to stop things getting worse.

May 28, 201411 yr I had no down at all. Mind you, not a big fan. What's with posting all this food on FB anyway? There's no need or satisfaction from seeing it on a photo....?!
May 28, 201411 yr Popular Post http://online.wsj.com/articles/thailand-sees-widespread-facebook-outage-1401274639 Maj. Gen. Pisit Paoin, adviser to the ministry's permanent secretary, refuted news reports that it had blocked Facebook intentionally. He noted, however, that the ministry will invite representatives of all social-media networks, including Facebook, short-message service Twitter TWTR +2.69% and photo sharing application Instagram, to a Thursday meeting. At the gathering, the ministry would "urge for their speedy collaboration in dealing with any individual account of theirs found to have violated" army orders, that slander individuals and that violate Thailand's lèse-majesté laws, which forbid criticism of the royal family. Google pulled out of China when asked to censor China search - I expect the big boys will politely tell the Junta that sorry it does not work like that the tail does not wag the dog.
