What happened to Manee and friends?

I don't know when this happened but I now get 'Account suspended'. I got through the first two books and stopped there for a year. I wanted to start again and then go further. I did find a site that let's you download in pdf but this isn't interactive.

I really do need to get to read Thai better than I do now

Thanks, no I found that link already, I wanted the interactive site.

http://www.memrise.com/course/21211/words-from-manee-and-friends/1/garden/grow/ is a bit nearer what I want but it gives me one minute to type new words in Thai. I didn't sign up for a course in speed typing in Thai.

The old site let you go back, revise, was fun.

I don't want to learn phrases, I want to be able to read and understand Thai.

The government is reprinting the original Manee and Friends. Two original volumes are combined into one. So far for only two volumes, i.e., the original first four volumes are out. The rest are supposed to follow but I suppose it also depends on the sale of these first two volumes. So there should be a complete set of six volumes. They are available at Suksaphan near Mahboonkrong or the National Stadium.

I know what you're talking about. It has 20 or so lessons, based off the Manee books.

This was a great for a beginner and is what I used when I started learning to read.

click on one book, and click again below right, you have the option to download the twelve books, one by one ; that's what I did three months ago

Are they the same books than "Manee and friends " ? I know there are several " Manee "

Ok, I know now that they are not the same ( I looked at "Manee and friends ", and I get "Account suspended " even if I never went there before ) ;

anyway, with "Manee", you have a lot to read !

I've tried to setup some sites myself - all were hacked after which I closed them.

There's always one constant in all these hacks: a cheap server in Thailand that doesn't have the latest patches.

The hacks also seem the be 90% of the time about how great Allah is and/or how terrible America is. Very childish.

If you want to share some useful information and you don't have the time and money to hire a good server and/or install the latest patches,

you better use one of public blog services provided by big companies like google or wordpress (I mean the kind of service which doesn't require you to hire a server). I have a few of these blogs and they have never been hacked.
