Jubilee Diamond Thailand Company Reliable to Buy Diamond Jewellery ? Your Experience ?

Hello,

Jubilee Diamond Thailand company is a jewellery company listed in the stock exchange of Thailand, do you think that it is a sign that this company is a good one to buy diamond jewellery ?

Anybody bought something there ?

It seems that their prices are a big higher than other shops but maybe it's the price to pay to get real authentic diamond with GIA certificate ?

Or do you think that I would just end paying for a brand ?

Thank you for your replies, and as I still dont know what we are allowed to write in a public forum maybe you should send a private message for any bad experience you had (if any) ?

But the good things (if any) publish them here, at least it seems to be allowed <3

They have been around a long time and it wouldn't be worth them selling fake or over-rated diamonds. Large diamonds have an exponential value i.e. ten 10 carat diamonds are worth about a tenth of the price of a single ten carat diamond. If you want to buy a diamond purchase an unmounted stone with a GIA cert and then get a custom made ring. Most jewelers will do it for you. You will save a lot.

Learn how diamonds are graded first and check prices of loose stones all info on the internet.

Very specialist, if you don't know what you are doing you will be leaving an awful lot in someone else's hands.

Could you tell the difference ?, I couldnt, so its not something I would be doing in a foreign country for a start.

what does it really matter? your teerak just wants to know in her mind that she is carrying x baht on her finger. you are just the sucker paying for it.

The teelak will be most pissed off when she takes it to the pawn shop and finds out what its really worth.

I see these gem stores operating in every mall in Bkk, offering discounts of 50%, makes me wonder what exactly they are selling and what the actual value is.

You will have better luck by visiting our African friends on Suk Rd Bkk, they will cut you a real deal.

Buying diamonds in Thailand, no chance head off back home if you must.

For people talking about teeraks, It seems that we don't mess with the same kind of teeraks guys, so do not confuse, mine only wears white gold and diamond and already have a ring worth 500 000 (that she bought herself) that she wears everyday, so maybe you understand why I cannot take the risk to buy shiiite.

Keep buying the cheap yellow gold for your teeraks so then can sell it at it's real value when they change their buffalo...

Thank you for the other intelligent replies.

Why would anyone want to buy a real diamond? The fake ones are cheap and indistinguishable by the layman which means you would be paying a huge amount for a difference that you can't see. Sort of like paying more for something because it was blessed by the pope. Ridiculous.

Diamonds are a controlled product. The pricing is formulaic based on the grading of the diamond (and supply and demand market prices). The only variable is the markup of the retail store based on what they can get away with (based or location, brand, reputation or some other intangible).

So get educated online about diamond grading, shop for similar graded diamonds to compare pricing and always get a certificate. Buying a loose stone and then getting it set to your preference (another challenge finding a reputable setter) will save you a lot of money and get the ring you want. There are Rapaport apps for your iPhone that can calculate the price the diamond should be (at wholesale) that might help.

...so if you teerak already has a 500,000 baht diamond ring that she wears daily, why do you want another one...and you know you will have to go up to Xmillion+ to show a noticeable increase on the existing one.

Why not look for a larger colored gem (like a nice sapphire, ruby, tanzanite or whatever color she likes) and accent it with some decent smaller diamonds that she can wear on the other hand...although I do understand the "status" that a diamond brings.

The comments on the value of the diamond when she tries to sell are true. I have seen values of as low as 10% of what was paid for the ring by stupid buyers.

Shop smart. Good luck.

Because i am not a cheap charlie and have more money to spend than what I can spend for myself is a good reply ? This is mine at least.

Ridiculous are the ones trying to survive with the little money they have andnot being able to make more.

Because some people want to pay for quality as opposed to an imitation, and fakes are easy enough to spot to be honest.

Yep, the problem only starts when you want to sell. Otherwise, it could be fake and as long as the lady believes that it is real and that she is carrying (x baht) on her finger she will be satisfied.

And good luck to a farang buying his teerak a diamond from a Chinese Thai expecting a good deal. whistling.gif
