House insurance with decent flood coverage

I've been looking at house insurance and all the plans I have found have a ridiculous 100,000THB flood damage limit.

This would just about cover a new splash of paint...no way it would cover build-in furniture, kitchen, wiring, landscaping etc...that would all be trashed in the event of a big flood.

Anyone know of any home insurance plans with proper flood coverage?

AFAIK: does not exist, all insurance plans have the same limitation since the recent floods.

As Stevenl has mentioned the 100k Baht is the limit and that is only because the government stepped in. Do note there are some flood prone areas that even that benefit may not be offered.

Would it be possible to take out multiple policies from different companies? For example if each insurance company offers only 100,000 you can 5 small insurance packages so that you get a total 500K flood insurance?
