NCPO urges NACC to urgently fight corruption in government sector

BANGKOK, 19 June 2014 (NNT) – The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has urged the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) to expedite collecting evidence against corruption-related cases in the government sector. The military also told all state agencies to draw up preventive measures against corrupt practices.

In its 69th announcement, the NCPO said it had assigned the anti-graft body to probe into all alleged corruption cases without delay and to report the findings and information to the NCPO.

State offices are also urged to draw up preventive measures against corrupt practices and to get everyone in their organizations involved in the campaign.

The announcement also warned that chiefs of state-own enterprises and units who failed to deal with corruption would face harsh disciplinary action, or criminal charges depending on their cases.

It might all be hot air . . . and ultimately long term things might go back to "normal" . . . but they are trying . . . clap2.gif

As I put in another post, NCPO needs to instill the fear of the lord into these folk. Examples need to be made, lengthy prison time seems to get every ones attention.

In the courtyard of the government house in Bangkok, install a series of stocks for corrupt politicians. Every corrupt politician would spend 30 days in the stocks before starting his prison time.

Every courthouse in the country should have a public viewing area with stocks set up. Just imagine your local puba spending 30 days. Thai's, being very entrepreneurial, would be selling their rotten produce for a premium. A true win-win situation.

If the NACC cracks down on corruption Red shirts may blockade their office and burn them in effigy.........or maybe not.

Yes, they are trying.........but it will take a long time to succeed, knowing the previous practices and corrupt culture in Thailand.

What worries me, is when they give back the country to the politicians, how long will it take to go back to the old habits?

So, please stay there till you eradicate and cure the political diseases inflicted for decades to the Thai people.

well there goes all the luxury car sales, with all that extra bonus money gone no one will be able to afford them, wonder if we will start seeing them driving around in a vios nowclap2.gif

Might want to copy the caning from Singapore and execute the punishment for corrupt officials in broad daylight, middle of a city and complete with a youtube video. Anything less will do sweet <deleted> all.

And once that evidence has been collected, please expedite the process towards resolution of the case in question. I believe two entire years, including, now, three different Attorney Generals, being dealt with at the AG's Office alone, to be far too long.

Once the average Red Shirt realizes that they too are benefiting from the end of corruption, it'll be a different story indeed.

But right now PTP are just a bunch of rich people telling poor people to vote for rich people by telling poor people that the other rich people are the reason they're poor.

One must respect the serious reform being instigated, all the corruption the Democracy Restoration Team (DRT) want to stamp out, the transparency the DRT are promoting, the criminals the DRT are rounding up, the weapons the DRT are finding and more importantly tracking back to the source (which will not be in the media) as well as the moral insignia the DRT are pinning on the countries upper echelons the accountability the DRT are pushing and finally the drive to encourage public participation in all the processes being undertaken.

Of every single piece of reform and action the DRT have taken in the last month one could assume they have been broken by one man in the PTP. One could assume that this one man's name is attached to most of the activities the DRT are fighting.

I can say without a shadow of a doubt that that one man is guilty of everything that was stopping this country move forward.

Do we really need to ask "Where is Chalerm"?

i would still love to know where he is though..i miss my favorite imbecile..

...then after the government sector start on the defence sector. Nah, not going to happen clap2.gif

Not only lengthy prison time... but those found with their hands in the till..... seize ALL their assets including all possessions, investigate all the bank accounts of their entire extended family and staff... find any unexplained money and confiscate the lot of it.

Thais love money, and this to them is worse than prison.

Send them back into the world totally broke.
