Chao Lao Beach Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Anyone know where you can get coconut oil in 1l-4l bottles in Thailand for home use? The main super markets don't seem to stock it, including Makro,. The last time I looked, there was no shortage of coconuts in Thailand.
Soutpeel Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Your joking right ?.....coconut oil for sale everywhere 1
Chao Lao Beach Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 Your joking right ?.....coconut oil for sale everywhere Please give examples, please........ Actually I am frustingly serious, Tesco, BigC (& Extra), Makro don't have it. I am looking for bigger amounts for cooking. Will check out Tops Anyway, time for some Tops steaks as well. Rimping is up in ChiangMai, to far for me. Food land is doible. Maybe even Villa has it maybe.
Issangeorge Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I have seen it in one of the big three, can't remember which one, but it is hard to find. I got a 500ml bottle from my local Cat One, but when I went back the other day to restock they only had very small ones for ฿95 each. The time I saw litre bottles the price was competitive with extra virgin olive oil. Sent from my i-mobile IQ 6 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
SOMeTOM Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I bought a small bottle at Big C, they also had a bigger size too. Just try a different branch if they don't stock it at the one you have checked already, also, don't trust any of the workers there as they are hopeless the most of the times, just look for it by yourself.... 1
SOMeTOM Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Is this oil good to cook? Thanks. Yes, as long as you enjoy that coconut's flavour/smell, then it's fine. http://wellnessmama.com/5734/101-uses-for-coconut-oil/
marko kok prong Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Very good for a full body massage, though you generally have to use washing up liquid to get it off after,so er,a friend told me.
Kimagure Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 I also couldn't find it at the supermarkets or even health food/organic stores, except in tiny expensive bottles. Finally found one liter bottles at reasonable prices at some of the small 'shops' that set up tables inside the shopping centers, selling local Thai health-related natural products.
bkkgooner Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 It's always stocked in Lotus in Tao Pun area in Bangsue area I always use it for cooking now, super healthy and very stable at high temperatures pity it's so bloody expensive though
marko kok prong Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 i tell you what, once you have the full body massage it is super hard,so ,my er ,friend told me.
