Which ever conspiracy theory suits.
June 22, 201411 yr A publicity stand. Why the corrupted regime and thaksin were not mentioned? Why should they be mentioned? Unless they were involved in the killing??

June 22, 201411 yr This is big news - Top Thai headline Very far from it, it's buried with many other news items, unless you think that appearing unceremoniously on a list of many other reports on a not particularly significant forum makes it a "Top Thai headline"

June 22, 201411 yr Wow, 13 days to make merit, then go back to Suthep's "business". Hypocrite. That guy in blue shirt with glasses should join the monkhood for like 20 years. June 22, 201411 yr Popular Post Excuse me while I vomit in my mouth No one has looked as smug as this bloke in the last six months Its a punchable face. If you are a gambling man get down to the bookmakers and get a price on Akanat being in Septembers interim government. Whatever price you get snatch the bookies hand off. June 22, 201411 yr Excuse me while I vomit in my mouth No one has looked as smug as this bloke in the last six months I would look smug if I knew what the outcome was. Create a killing field and the army steps in. No or little response from the reds and the army coup whatever.

Check out Porntips reward for nightly appearances at Sutheps garden parties. K. Akanat is not a politician, nor does he seem to have the personality so important to be a politician (although he wouldn't be the first politician with what some may see as a "punchable face") Personally I would not be surprised to see k. Akanat being invited as member of the Reform Committee as he often talked about the need for reforms and I think was even involved in trying to set up a framework to make asking people's opinion and ideas, and incorporate them more easy.
June 22, 201411 yr Rubl, akanat was democrat mp. He was busted in march for claiming to have 6 degrees from oxford - here goes his transparency, reform and anticorruption

June 22, 201411 yr Rubl, akanat was democrat mp. He was busted in march for claiming to have 6 degrees from oxford - here goes his transparency, reform and anticorruption I stand corrected May, 2011 "Akanat Promphan, son of Srisakul, wife of party secretary-general Suthep Thaugsuban, said he has a fresh way of thinking as a member of the new generation. "These days, we have to think in more constructive ways, not focus on conflict," he said." http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/467553-thai-democrats-unveil-fresh-mp-hopefuls-at-thammasat/ February, 2014 "Akanat Promphan, former Democrat Party MP for Bangkok: Assets after debt deduction: Bt101 million. This includes bank deposits of Bt2.4 million and Bt10 million in investments. He also owns a Patek Philippe wristwatch worth Bt1.8 million and a Bt4.4-million car." http://www.nationmultimedia.com/politics/Yinglucks-assets-rose-by-Bt50m-NACC-30226088.html Cannot find the 'busted in March' though. Any pointer? ADD: belated pointer, but somehow only found on NewMandela "It would seem to be another example of the deep status insecurity that drives the Yellow side in Thai politics. At a time when the old social order that has served them so well is under challenge, members of the Yellow camp are desperate to find ways to assert their superiority and thus to justify their right to lord it over their presumed social inferiors. The ironic result of such blatant exaggeration of credentials and achievements is to make their claims to superiority look quite hollow, while at the same time emphasizing the many degrees of separation that lie between them and the ordinary people of Thailand whom they should be seeking to represent." http://asiapacific.anu.edu.au/newmandala/2014/03/15/akanat-six-degrees-promphan/ Edited June 22, 201411 yr by rubl
