This is one of several movies of that era that launched my high interest in what is more historically termed as road racing, though now a days it is more incorrectly termed as circuit racing, it was termed road racing because often it was done on closed street circuits and also because the courses resembled daily roads but if you use that terminology these days most people now think you just have a spontaneous side by side racing contest on a road and that's "road racing"..
