Need Broadband Internet in mid-Sukhumvit, Bangkok

Featured Replies

I need recommendations for a good Broadband Service - I am in Soi Asoke - not a High-rise building.

Currently I am using TOT but it's driving me up the wall, very slow connections particularly in the mornings and at night, many "page not found" type error messages and this morning I had to re-boot the Modem and Router at least 4 times and go to "Network and Sharing Center" about the same number of times to repair the connection! I am still using the TOT Modem - which may be a big mistake since they tell me I should turn it off after a few hours because it overheats - but I bought a top-of-the-line ASUS Router which seems to help a little.

Any suggestions for a good ISP / package?

Patrick

I have TOT Fiber 2U and it works pretty well most of the time however as you said there are huge slowdowns during peak hours. I also have TRUE adsl which does not appear to have the peak hour restrictions. Have not yet tried 3BB but from what I've read here on the forums it seems like TRUE and CAT have had the most positive comments.

I live on Asoke and am using True DSL. Overall, fairly good, but tends to be very slow in the evenings and on weekends. Late night (after midnight) and days tend to be quite good. I have the 899 baht/month package which I think is 13 Mbps down.
