londongirl33
Hi all This is my first time posting in this forum. I am British girl living in Bangkok, just moved here a week ago. Last night I got very drunk and before I knew it had brought a Thai guy back to my place. I suddenly felt really ill so I asked him to leave. He got a bit heavy handed and wouldn't. Leave. He walks away from the bed then come back with his phone and take a photo of me naked. He says he will post it on the internet. Then he left my place. I feel so stupid that this has happened. I begged him to delete the photo but he wouldn't. I am so scared this photo of me will end up online somewhere. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas as to where he might post it? I am so upset about this. Thanks all
Popular Post Boo
Firstly, welcome to the forum. Secondly I am usually suspicious of 1 post members creating topics like this but in case you aren't one of the <deleted> who like to troll the ladies forum I'll give this the benefit of the doubt. The likelihood of him posting this on the web is low, if you got wind of it anywhere the police would take defamation very seriously. Thailand has VERY strict laws against it. Personally I would be putting it down to a very nasty experience that could have been much worse and use it as a painful but valuable learning tool next time you go out. Thai people are not the placid smiley folk many people think, they are humans like any other and there are good and bad like any other people. Educate yourself, never drink too much, never leave your drink unattended, never take opened drinks off strangers, if someone offers to pour you a drink watch them do it, the usual precautions women should use in any country You had a lucky escape. Be grateful and be more wary of who you go home with. Good luck
kevozman1
Bringing back random Thai guys to your BKK pad? Risky... Anyways he could post your photos on any site that accepts uploads of nude/pornographic photos or movies, there are many tbh... I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you are very prudish as this is becoming ridiculously common with the internet and digital cameras being so mainstream in recent years. ToYoungToRetire
Not to be rude, but unless you look like a model the chances of the photo getting very far on the internet is slim..

londongirl33
Hi all I really appreciate your replies, makes me feel a lot better! I really realise how stupid I was and will definitely learn from it. It sort of spiralled out of control without me realising it. Ugh. Posted in this forum as genuinely needed some reassurance from a friendly crowd... Thanks
Boo
http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/151665-safety-tips-for-women-in-thailand/ gnore the rude posts, it's part and parcel of the forum unfortunately. Have a read of the pinned topic above. It's easy to drop your natural safety rules in the early days but it's happened so move on and learn from it.
slipperylobster
Was it beer vision...or were you really attracted to him? Because a lady did this to me before...almost the same circumstances. As I got less and less drunk, she turned out to be more and more...etc...etc.
londongirl33
Thank you Boo for the advice. It's so stupid because I am normally pretty sensible. I will definitely be more careful in future. I was with a friend but we got separated and that's when I met this guy. I was attracted to him. I just started to feel way too drunk and sick, and also he was insisting on sex without a condom and it was at that point I asked him to leave and clearly said I did not want to go any further. The photo thing was what really freaked me out, it feels like a real violation of privacy. No matter how silly I was, I really feel this is not acceptable behaviour on his part. Popular Post Boo
I think you were probably slipped something. Esp as he was being agressive about unprotected sex. Be happy he left. The worst he will likely do with the pic is a few passes around his mates. We've all done things we regret in the sober light of day, just add this to the top of the pile.
bina
i also would like to add that the 'jsut say no' and 'no means no' in thailand, as in israel and many other male oriented non californian style places, doesnt work. as my (thai) husband once said when i noticed all the thai guys talking about some american group of girls walking past: if she's dressed like that (minimal clothing suepr high heels etc etc)blalblabla =sex. and no political correctness will ever help. deep down, thats the way things are. especially when u arent on your home turf where u can read the signals, or are surrounded by people who would step in to help. wouldnt worry about the photos, not running in your circles anyhow, and if ever found out deny deny deny... (and when inviting strangers in to rooms, keep your cellphone locked or at least your facebook/forum logins, logged off. )

Sheryl
I agree that you were slipped something and you are fortunate that it affected you as it did rather than making you pass out /totally lose your faculties which was probably the intent and expectation.
Raesum
Hi londongirl Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your unfortunate encounter. Let me say-you are not alone in having done things you later(or sooner) regret.I have been there done that..... As others have said-luckily it stopped at that and no harm done apart from the photo.I wouldn't worry too much about that either as I am sure you are not allowed to post these things on media websites.Yes he may show it to his mates and brag about "the falang". Stay away from where you met him for a (long) while so theres no chance of running into him again (or his mates). Luckily you have got a friend to go out with so you can easily go elsewhere-Its a big place! Enjoy your new life in Thailand and don't worry
londongirl33
Wow thank you all so much for your responses, i really felt too embarrassed to speak to any real-life friends so that's why I came to this forum, Thank you for giving me the support I needed! I will definitely put it down to one of those stupid, unfortunate mistakes and I am very grateful he left and nothing worse happened. Despite what happened,I am really enjoying my time here so far and already managing to put the experience behind me. Thanks again! xx
