I would like a fully refundable -- no service fees at all -- ticket from Bangkok.

This is to satisfy the airline as I will be traveling one way ( or I might have another one way from Bangkok several months later). I will likely stay in Thailand only for a few days.

It is preferred if the one way ticket be to Cambodia , as I have a valid visa for Cambodia, and will be headed their within a couple of days, but by taxi or bus (too much luggage to fly).

Also, I occasionally need to travel last minute to Bangkok from Cambodia, either to go to my embassy, or for medical care at a hospital. Is their anyway that this is possible without a visa? (Canadian national, valid working /ordinary visa for Cambodia, limited short term stays to Thailand in the past, extensive stay history in Cambodia indicated in entries, exits and visa in my passport).

Thank you

Should add first visit to Thailand is for three days , arriving by plane to Bangkok from Canada.

Next visit to Thailand is by bus, visiting for two or three weeks, crossing at poipet.

Other visits are much shorter and unplanned , for emergency medical care and or to visit Canadian embassy for

Family matters. Canada does not have an embassy yet in Cambodia.

Since you will be returning after spending some time in Cambodia you should not have a problem making your trips.

Not sure about the refundable ticket. Perhaps Thai airways will sell one. You could check Air Asia also they might have a a one way with advanced purchase so cheap you could trash it and not loose a lot.

Air Asia is a possibility , but not ideal. I would have to buy two tickets, neither of which I would use.

The cheapest they seem to get in high season is 370 baht, and that is rare, only when they have their best seat sale, usually far in advance ( to Phnom Penh, more to siem reap).

To that one must add 40 baht booking fee, plus 275 fuel charges. then they have an administration fee to refund the taxes if one does not do the trip, perhaps ten dollars. They promise to disclose it on their site, but do not for this route. Then finally I think there is a credit card fee. So the total is perhaps 35 dollars per ticket.

Still interested in a fully refundable ticket just about anywhere from Bangkok. I think train would be ideal or bus, if either can be bought online. Or even a non refundable train ticket, it is only I think 48 baht from Bangkok to aranyapatet , the border town. Or a Thai or Bangkok air or any airline fully refundable expensive ticket -- Cathay pacific is mean and rule bound -- in case they force me to buy it at the airport in Canada.
