Southern New England Summer about in full bloom

I usually try and to come back to Rhode Island once a year to visit my mother, father, brother and various friends. First time in about 3 years or so though that I have come back for the summer. It is in full swing here along the Rhode Island coast...Tried to swim yesterday, it was surprisingly cold maybe no more than 17C....took the kayak across the pond with a cold local microbrew and a bone...what could be better...I go back to Thailand on the 24th, with no other agenda except what I just previously mentioned

then a nice meal of Flounder, corn and lettuce picked from my mothers garden..I will go back to Thailand in 3 weeks, but this nice little break is enough to remind me how nice and beautiful the place I come from is and how I am happy to have these roots...

Anyone else from Southern New Englanders thinking about "home" whether in New England or the LOS?
