Hello

I have been trying for a couple of weeks now to configure my router to allow me to use DC++ hub program

I have read through the instructions here, watched youtube videos, googled, shutdown my firewall, all to no avail,

I am able to connect to the hub but am unable to download file list or files

for information

I have a D-link DSL2730U router

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

I attached screenshots

My router setup for portforwarding

DC++ set up

Results of my ipconfig

Any assistance most appreciated, thanks in advance. biggrin.png

My guess is that UPnP is throwing it off. Try selecting the "I have no router" option in the first screen.

Have you tried the automatic option in the same screen?

As KittenKong wrote, you've selected

Active Mode (let DC++ configure my router with NAT - PMP / UPnP)

and then hard-configured your Router, this creates a conflict as UPnP service attempts to session program your router and the router already has those ports reserved.

So please try

Active Mode (I have no router / I have configured my router)

I am sure I am doing some fundamently wrong, maybe with the portforwarding of my router

any suggestions appreciated

Did you try the automatic mode as I suggested? Try deleting the port forwards in the router and then try automatic mode again.

UPnP often works well when left to its own devices.

The IP address you have entered in the External / WAN IP is a private block address, normally used behind NAT devices and Carrier Grade NAT gateways.

Please power cycle (off/on) your DSL Router and allow the network to re-establish. Does your D-link DSL2730U still report your External / WAN IP address being within the 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255 private block?

If so, then your Internet connection is operating behind a 'double NAT', no port forwards will be possible.

As KittenKong suggested, try ticking the box for [_] Let DC++ determine the best connection setting See what happens.
