trying to explain to my (thai) husband the new rules but not sure i understand them myself.

not pertinent to me as of yet, just arrive for 30 days , once every five years or so, but inthe future we may consider a back and forth between israel and thailand approach, as he is making noises about living in thailand in the future when he becomes older (elderly, i guess)...

i will never have a pension fund that will allow me to do the retirement visa.

so in that case, what would i do?

get a double entry tourist visa, which would allow me to stay for : XX amount of time, AND then, go out (to where, and for how long) to start my next part of the double entry, and then, for how long...

and then i would have to live here in israel until the next year?

just sort of trying to work out some sort of forward thinking, as i knew that the way it was up to know wouldnt last forever, so at least my husband has received his citizenship for israel, meaning he can go in and out as much as he wants or can afford to do...

and is there soemwhere in thai that u could point me to (he wont look for info, i have to find it and show him)... and there aer a few of us here in the same situation, all of us with no funds, and with husbands with israeli citizenship or about to receive it; but with semi retirement plans with thaland in mind in the far future.

The foreign wife of a Thai husband does not have to show evidence of money in the bank nor income for the one-year extension of stay to live with the Thai spouse. This is, I believe, the only discrimination based on gender left in the extension rules.

The Thai texts and English translations of Police Order 777/2551 and Immigration Bureau Order 305/2551 will help you explain it better to your husband. Clause 2.18 applies to your situation.
