Hello, I received a triple entry tourist visa on March 19 of this year. Using an online calculator to be precise, I found that the 180 day mark would be September 15, when I assume the visa expires.

Initial entry date into Thailand was May 2. In retrospect I think I made a mistake applying for the visa six weeks ahead of my flight.

I extended on June 30 and have until July 30 to make my next move.

Plan

1. Do a border run to activate my second entry early next week, let's say 28 of July. I'm in BKK and plan on going to Poipet.

2. Then use my final entry in my triple entry visa on September 15 -- same trip as step 1.

3. Apply for an extension roughly 2 months later to get an extra 30 days.

Am I planning this correctly? Or should I do something different to maximize the length of my stay?

That is probably correct but it would be much better to check the "Use Before _____" date on the visa.

To be sure of the last date you can do the last entry look at the enter before date on your visa sticker. I may be 6 months instead of 180 days.

I cannot see that you could do anything differently to gain anymore time.

I'm glad you guys made the comments you did because my "use before" date was September 18. I was thinking it probably was safe to use until the 18th, but wasn't sure about the 180 days versus six month thing.

Note that "before" in this case means "before midnight on...". That said, it's not ideal to wait until the last day of a visa's validity. Sod's Law.

Note also that you don't need to wait until the last day of your Permission To Stay to go for your 30 day extension. You can go earlier and you won't lose any days. The extension is additive.

I probably should search this up but, how does one get a triple entry? My last two long term stays, I got a double in Cambo (when they still did it in 2010) and a double in Lao in 2012. Do you have to get it in your home country? Thanks all on TV.

Melbourne issued a triple entry to my friend last year & I've heard in London also. There are perhaps other consulates that will also.
