What do I need to get a Thai Driving licence. I have a Australian Driving Licience.

Do I need a form from the Imigration Department?

I'd also like to know if I need a Thai driver's licence - not happy carrying my passport around and not entirely convinced that a photocopy will be enough for the BiB. Australian licences are issued by the state governments - I'm not aware of an 'Australian Drivers Licence' as such but that's a technicality. Hope springs eternal that it's a straightforward process to get a Thai licence.
