Lite Beer
Suspect for grenade attacks now in police custody The Nation BANGKOK: -- A 26-year-old man is now in police detention for allegedly staging several grenade attacks on the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) rally sites. Deputy National Police Commissioner Maj General Somyot Poompanmoung said soldiers arrested Yongyut Boondee in Chiang Mai and forwarded the suspect to police yesterday morning. Yongyut has told police that Chatchawan Prabbamrung, who was arrested earlier, had encouraged him to stage the attacks without any pay. He also said he did not receive any training of use of military weapons. Somyot said Yongyut went into hiding in Buri Ram and then Chiang Mai province after the PDRC rallies ended. Yongyut is now facing charges of pre-meditated attempted murders, staging grenade attacks that caused property damage and illegal possession of ammunition and military weapons. An ongoing investigation showed Yongyut used to attend the red-shirt rallies led by Wutthipong Kotchathamkhun, alias Ko Tee. jaidam
A program of good cop bad cop, sleep deprivation, casual brutality, and the dawning realization that his idols giveth not a toss about his current predicament will have this lowlife singing in no time. Let me be the 1st to opine that he did not do this terror campaign for free, and that it was not his idea.
BSJ
The police look very friendly with the poor guy, a reassuring hand on the shoulder and warm smiles all around. Naturally the police look relaxed....the army handed over a wanted villain....oh sorry, it was the army that caught the miscreant, not the police! The police should be pictured wai-ing the members of the army that did their job for them.

Us friendly guys with warm smiles got you, you b**st**d! Hope he does forever in prison, or for co-operating with police to find those who "employed" him, then perhaps a lighter sentence. Followed by deportation to a muslim country (where he will be happier with the lifestyle that he so desperately wants Thai people to have). Can you believe it, he did it for fun. Not for a single moment do I believe this is as high as it goes. War weapons are not easy to get by and expensive, to use them and not get any pay is unbelievable for poor people. Lets hope they make him sing. But its good an other red terrorist caught. Its now hard to deny the reds were involved. Now the local farang red shirt population is trying to say they acted alone (if you cant deny one thing anymore go for an other)

If twenty evil reds pooled their money, they could buy a mortar, twelve rounds of ammo, and a gps targeting system for 100 baht apiece. Arms are cheap. When the Russian arms dealer was arrested in Thailand, do you think he was here on vacation? Duh.

What on earth makes you think a UDD/PTP terrorist would be a moslem? The Shins and their doyen aren't exactly popular down South and this terrorist fled to Buriram! When the Russian arms dealer was arrested in Thailand, do you think he was here on vacation? Duh. Your ability to spout unsubstantiated claims is only equalled by your ability to be condescending towards those that you feel should believe them. Firstly you make yourself out to be privy to the prices of illegal war weapons in Thailand seeming like an "old hand" when it comes to buying them on the black market. This un-plausible statement is said to back up an argument that the red shirts worked alone which in itself flies against the face of all reason and logic. Just like your previous excuse of "Thee attacks on PDRC rallies have nothing to do with red shirts" Turned out you were wrong there to. Your excuse has "evolved" and when these red shirts name names and finger point who was responsible up the UDD food chain your excuse will predictably "evolve" when the UDD leader denies the allegations into something along the lines of "He denied this so it cannot be true" Then when he finally admits it or the evidence is so overwhelming you will predictable state "He was a rogue element in the UDD and is not representative of them" and it will go on and on and on clutching to an ethos of lies because you cannot fathom the reality the PTP and UDD lied to you and more importantly that you believed it. Thus is the life of a red shirt supporter. Secondly you insinuate that Viktor Bout, an international arms trader making billions of dollars from supplying arms for ongoing civil wars throughout the world using his own 40 strong fleet of transport planes was in Thailand to sell a few guns to some farmers with UDD memberships (working independent of the UDD of course ). That is some PTP logic right there folks. Just trying to allure to a link between the red shirts and Viktor Bout is a stretch unless it used when describing the shirt he wore in prison. We was in Thailand for work however. To work with the FARC in South America. I wonder if they wear red shirts! BTW - This org chart that highlights the UDD leadership's involvement (with thaksin up the top) in a terrorist cell in Khon Kaen is a figment of my imagination then. Or do you have an "evolved" excuse for that? Edited August 2, 2014 by djjamie

rametindallas
[attachment=278058:Who were behind the grenade attacks on the PDRC.jpg] [The cartoon shows that Red Shirt leaders such at Jatuporn and ultimately Thaksin were behind the gradual escalation of attacks on anti-government protesters. These attacks and the impunity under which they occurred were, in the Thai style, meant to convey that the government had the will and ability to resist calls for Yingluck to step down. The cartoon shows each link in the chain of command ready to cut off their own hand to insulate themselves from culpability in the attacks on the PDRC or People’s Democratic Reform Committee, the protest group that was sparked by the bid for Thaksin amnesty.]
Mmorris
Yongyut used to attend the red-shirt rallies led by Wutthipong Kotchathamkhun, alias Ko Tee. Great to see yet another of the terroristic Red Shirts in jail. Now, to get the maniacal Ko Tee and the chief Red Shirt financier into custody.
