Couple of points worth considerating.

Even after all this can we still get along?

From a Thais way of thinking ...or is it?

East -We live in Time

West-You live in Space.

East -We are Passive.

West-You are Aggressive.

East -We like to Contemplate.

West-You like to Act.

East -We accept the world as it is.

West-You try to change it to suit yourself.

East -We are always at Rest.

West-You are always on the Move.

East -Religion is our First Love.

West-You prefer Science.

East -We marry First, then we Love.

West-You Love first,then you marry.

East -Our Love is Mute.

West-Your Love is Vocal.

East -We try to conceal it from the world.

West-You prefer to show it to the world.

East -We believe in Freedom of Silence.

West-You believe in Freedom of Speech.

East -We are taught from the grave to want Less and Less.

West-You are taught from the grave to want More and More.

East -Poverty is to us a badge of Spiritual Elevation.

West-Poverty to you means you are Skint.

East-In the sunset of our lives we renounce the world and

       prepare for the hereafter.

West-You retire and have a Good Time.

In a very general way, I'd have to say it's accurate. I don't agree with a few points, but in the extreme, these are our differences. Asians and Westerners seem to have different default positions.

Some I agree with some I don't. It is evident (to me that is ), however, it was written by an Asian as it is biased negatively towards westeners on one or two points.

Not commenting on agreeeing with specific points or not, but aren't differences between people what makes life interesting?

contrary to the opening line, i'd say many of these difference make for interesting, fulfilling relationships
