No, it would not. But remember, you will have to present a proof of residence from the immigration at the office when applying. See attachment for what I was given at the LTO before the extension...

I got mine using a yellow house book as proof of residence no problem...

What do you need to take to immigration to get the residencey certificate?

I did not have to provide proof of residence from immigration thus this may depend on individual D.L. offices, I had to provide my passport for ID, and a hospital certificate to proof positive eye vision.

In addition I had to complete the application form they produced to outline my details including my signature.

I got one the last time I did an extension. However they said they had never done one before, but when I showed them the form downloaded from their own website they did it there and then for free. Take the form with you.

I'm here on an ED visa. From this, I hear I qualify to get a Thai driver's license http://www.thaivisa.com/thai-driving-license.html .

I want to know is there some kind of online study guide available in English? With the new 90% to pass rule in force, I don't want to chance having to give up two days to get my license.

Thanks.
