But first introduce workpermits for bounty hunters.

If not, the hunters will be hunted by hunters who.....etc.

It would be quite a simple move because the Foreign Police Officers already have a suitable WP. But sure get your point.

They'd need to increase the size of the IDC initially, imagine targeting the streets of certain tourist areas, with all those long term 'tourist' types ...... CRACKDOWN of all crackdowns.

An 'exemption' would do.

Also previous law, enforcement experience would be a must, to keep wannabes or douchebags from becoming the hunters. wink.png or perhaps education and training courses for a fee, creating a whole new industry.

Maybe they should stop ex law enforcement, to keep wannabes or douchebags from becoming the hunters.

This brilliant scheme may have a flaw.

If all the overstayers register to be hunters, follow a course, get an ED visa, there will be nobody left to hunt down.

If farang low life were weeded out quickly

They need look no further than the first couple of posts in this thread

Ok <flame removed>, you want to make this personal yet you seem to overlook the fact that I don't have a visa and a bounty on this would least affect me.

Sorry you take such offence to the fact there are too many people doing the wrong thing and that a clean up is long overdue. Why not expedite the process ?

I wonder why that might be ?

Absolutely yes.

However, first the farang hunters will need designer regalia and uniforms for their regiments of farangs patrolling the streets hunting farangs. They'll need badges too (really scary & cool badges), and pepper spray, and tasers.

... and jackboots.... insignia.

Sure in the early days the pickings will be rich and plentiful but as the prey start avoidance techniques profits will drop substantially.

As long as we are going to have old west style bounty hunters - then why not 'Dead or Alive' ... these are horrible people you know... / not

Good idea Harry, stop professionally trained people from doing the job. Let's put grabs in charge of brain surgery.

Ex law enforcement have no need to be wannabes, they've already spent sufficient time satisfying any desire. ;)

It's about getting rid of illegals and making a bit of cash.

I wouldn't want the job in any case, dealt with enough low life in the past to sink a ship.....but I'd love to see filthy low life's being rounded up and sent from the country.....makes the place more desirable again.

Great idea Dead or Alive on a five year overstay. Keep 'em coming.

If I get that hunting job, can I hunt down PWSOH (posters without sense of humour) in my spare time?

Great idea.

It seems like there's so many against the idea of weeding out the criminals hiding amongst us.

I wonder what they are hiding or fearing ?

6 months would be better.

Overstay by more that 7 days should be a public flogging.

Of course there's so much more to this than just overstay ;)

The farang bounty hunter regiment will also require a "special branch" of selfless individuals with elite privileges and powers to weed out the inevitable corruption that the huge profits will lead to. I already see a purge coming.

How many ex law enforcement in Australia are those who left when commissions into corruption were held...not necesarilly thrown out but left.  I speak as one who has a relative who left after the enquiry in one state..He was the deep throat...of course he went on a sideways promotion to a Commonwealth funded Law Enforcement job.  Not all law enforcement are corrupt (not maybe in money but in ignoring rules protecting the public)  but a fair proportion are.  Even worse is the natural tendency of them as the do see the worst of society to consider all are tarred with the same brush.  You say you do not want the job...but it is possibly these who have a need to be in a power enforcement position that would jump at it.

That's a huge job much too big for one man but why not go for it. Can you perform personality transplants too?

Please!

I have no intention to do this job myself.

I will be the PDG (President-directeur-general, of course with ' on the e, since I will have a proper type writer) of "International Removals".

We will have subsidiaries for actual hunting, brain transplants and noodle shops.
