There has been a bit of a clamp down on selling these over the counter.I just popped into my local doc and he prescibed stillnox.Bloody fantastic.You are asleep quickly and I didn't wake up with a 'sleeping pill' hangover.

Dunno about Xanax but I was once able to purchase valium, which is much the same thing, at the convenience/drug store in the Airport Hotel. It helps if you look respectable and just ask for "sleep" medicine for the flight without mentioning brand. Of course they're only going to sell you one or two doses.

Ambien or zolpidem

I use stillnox and it's pretty good, but you only can get it from a doctor or hospital.
