Come and visit the Philippines!

We have many beautiful and interesting spots that are undiscovered and creating buzz from locals and tourists as well.

Here are some of the best places to visit:

- Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte

a small island located in Surigao del Norte. It is a surfer's haven and a scenic place as well!

- Coron Island, Palawan

this beautiful and exotic group of islands were featured in the film The Bourne Legacy. The scenery will leave you breathless,

and you can swim in the clear blue waters too!

- Palaui Island, Cagayan

adventure awaits you in this beautiful remote island in the far north of Luzon! I'm sure you won't regret to experience this place.

I highly recommend not to visit the urban cities like Manila or Angeles City, unless you're that type of tourist who's only after bar girls, or bar boys,

or is into sexual adventures, parties, orgies, and booze, and be drunk 24 hours a day!

Although they have already been mentioned already, I want to second a couple of places: Luang Prabang, Laos, is my favorite place in Southeast Asia. Bagan in Burma is pretty cool too. And while it's not in Southeast Asia, India is an amazing place and is easy and cheap to get to from Bangkok with AirAsia. My favorite place in India is the small town of Bundi in Rajasthan. Udaipur and Jaisalmer are great as well.

In Thailand, go to Sukhothai and see the ruins there. The area is beautiful and peaceful. Karon beach on Phuket and the big white buddha over head was pretty inspiring and exotic to me.

In Indonesia go to Borobudur.

I spent 3 heavenly weeks in a certain part of Vietnam earlier this year but I'm not telling where it is or how I got there 'cause I don't want it stampeded and ruined like so many other places in SE Asia. You'll have to find it on your own like I did.

You are not required to tell your location...but it would be nice...since you brought it up...what made your 3 weeks so heavenly...otherwise...you will be labeled just another selfish AH....IMHO

Fair enough.

All of the travel was in local VN buses…10 in total. Only 2 buses has another foreigner in it…1 in each. So it was all VN locals who spoke zero English but were some of the nicest people you could meet anywhere in the world, even to an American like me. The countryside was stunning…even in the cool, dry season. Each town was interesting, except for one foreigner tourist town in this part of VN, and had even more nice people who invited me to their festival parties and homes. The food was delicious and the coffee even better.

I also rented a motorbike for 5 days and drove into an even less visited area of VN and the countryside was even more stunning and it was quite the adventure on the bike.

I predict that within 10 years, maybe less, that the area will not be the same. So it is to be "discovered" now by those who find it.

Hope that takes me off the AH List…if not, I tried.

Unfortunately it will probably be less than 5 years but until then it will remain Heaven on Earth. And no, I am not telling reveling where or how I got there either, but morpho is correct in mentioning local buses and NO English.
