Best bus to Nakhon Ratchasima (via Pak Chong)

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me the best bus to catch for Pak Chong at Mo Chit bus station?

I assume they all are destined for Nakhon Ratchasima.

Is there a choice or are all the buses government 666 buses? I would like the best VIP buses available as long as I can catch it in the mornings at Mo Chit without an advanced booking, just by turning up.

If there are any suggestions, can you also include the area in Mo Chit where I catch it. Thanks in advance.

BTW, I am NOT interested in mini vans - only the big buses.

there are no and have never been 666 buses. There are purplish 999 buses-ONLY for long overnite trips to major cities, thus excl. Khorat.

The big buses are run by 3 companies, all start from Mochit (those going onward by the comps so beloved by TV-users will charge fares to further towns), together with 4-6 trips/hour. 1 ends in Khorat old inner city busterminal, the other 2 at the newer giant interprovincial. None of these is a ''govt own'' bus, but of course all are govt ''regulate'd'. Just toss a coin, or take a look if too terrified or picky about which one to choose-you can also buy tix at the platform from a table. the route nr is 21. 3 companies then each have their own batch of fleet nrs-like 1-50, 101-149 or so. Of course1 is just labelled as Khorat Tour.

The only bus company that I consider safe is "Nakhon Chai Air" .... would not use any other bus.

And NEVER take a bus over night (or evening).

Thanks for this - yes I always get mixed up between 666 and 999. I assume route 21 goes through Pak Chong as that is my final dstination.

Does this company have a day bus to Pak Chong? I can't see one on their web site.
