Vaccines to reduce the risk of STDs
Starting around March 2020, "The Experts" told the pro-vaxx happy campers that their own immune systems don't work. They were told that their bodies need to be flooded with artificially produced antibodies or else they'll get sick for sure, and if the shots don't stop them from getting sick, then the shots will keep them from dying for sure. For sure, four sure. Remember this canard? Joe Biden: “If you’re vaccinated, you’re not going to be hospitalized, you’re not going to be in the IC unit, and you’re not going to die.” Ah-huh, sure. Between 2020 and 2024, outright lies about the science of immunity were called "Science" and "facts" and "The Truth," while the entire body of scientific knowledge about the immune system up to 2020 suddenly became "Anti-science" and "fake news" and lies." And imminent scientists who called BS (e.g., Great Barrington Declaration) on this new "The Science" promoted by charlatans like Fauci where actively censored, shadow-banned, threatened with loss of their tenure, and medical licenses for promoting the actual science supporting immunology up though March 2020 when Big Pharma, the WEF, and "The Science" promoted a new paradigm to support their narratives. Unfortunately they permanently warped the minds of a large sub-sect of the public who still "Trust The Experts" and therefore still discount the factual science of branches of science like immunology. So these folks who call themselves "pro-vaccination" and sneer at anyone who doesn't accept "The Science" that was promoted after March 2020, literally don't know what mechanisms like Memory T and B lymphocytes haven in a robust immune system. My guess is they don't have a clue as to how their immune systems works. All they know is "The Experts" told them to get "The Shots" and by God they'll continue to take the shots because they know in their heart of hearts that they'll die for sure if they don't take as many vaccinations as possible - because they know for sure: Immune systems don't work, only vaccinations work. The Experts told them so. Oh - and don't learn about the immune system because this holy information can only be discerned by "The Experts." BritManToo, by the time you get to be our age, you've been exposed to just a massive number of pathogens in all their newly evolving forms and as such have developed a robust immune response to those pathogens and other pathogens which share similar characteristics. If you don't have the antibodies, you have the memory lymphocytes that kick into gear and create the antibodies as soon as you're body encounters these pathogens. In the minds of people like the OP and other "only-vaccines-will-save-you" crowd, all people who refuse to "take their shots" are all asymptomatic super-spreaders (another new term coined by "The Experts" to scare the bejesus out of the public). "If you don't take your shots you'll die for sure!" Once you get old enough, everyone "dies for sure." But for those who want to take all of their shot, feel free. But we will tangle the minute you insist that I take them too so that you don't have to worry about "anti-vaxxer, asymptomatic super-spreaders" which was a load on nonsense. Personally I don't want to support these people's personal psychosis and irrational fears that were fueled by deliberate misinformation regarding proven science (pre-2020) and replace with a pseudo-science narrative by Big Pharma and Friends (post March 2020). Takes your shots kids - Safe and EffectiveTM. You can have mine too! -

No, not everyone is a gammon. People can have different opinions from me and that's OK. You express yourself quite eloquently and can have a discussion - I wouldn't call you a gammon, not at all. A gammon is someone with illogical and unreasonable hatred for things that they don't really even understand. The type of person that will stand on the shores of Dover and shout at the sea. A gammon gets himself all angry because the "mussies" are 85% of the CPS (even though they are clearly not), and the "mussie network" is ganging up on poor "tommy", and is so angry that they can't even copy and paste a link or back up their claims. It turns out his anger is because someone told him there's a Civil Service Muslim Network. Imagine that! So I calmly explain there is also a Civil Service Christian Network, and a Jewish one, and a Hindu one, and one for vegans, one for peole going through cancer, one for ex-service people etc etc, Literally dozens of civil service support networks. The civil service employs around half a million people, so any organisation of that size will have dozens of networks and support groups. Instead of replying "Oh, I see, that makes sense" he doubles down, saying there are too many words to read and railing about "the mussie network" trying to take down "tommy" and he's going to take to the streets. A gammon is closed minded, not open to discussion, easily angered, and blinkered. Present logic to them or a counterpoint and they double down on the anger. You can image the red face as he bashes his keyboard with two fingers to rant about "mussies". I hope that explains the distinction. -
