If you have an Extension of stay why not go for a Yellow Tambien Baan, alternatively go to your local immigration and ask them.

Chaeng Wattana will only issue a Residence Certificate for either applying for a vehicle driving license (choose car or motorbike) or for buying/selling a vehicle (car or motorbike).

If you state the purpose of your request to be anything other than the above two choices you will be turned away.

Last month I used the RC applying for a driving license to open a bank account.

Here in Khon Kaen they always want copies of housebook pages and ID card (both sides).

Copies must be signed by your wife.

Yellow house book is good in the long term.

Not sure whether you will be able to get it "soon".

samut prakan did one for me, no blue book and no charge, did it while we waited and handed it over. But they did say they had never seen the form before that I downloaded from the immigration site, all I needed was one photo and did 90 day report at the same time. You say on the form what it's wanted for eg driving licence
