Is Thai bar girl different to most?

I really believe the OP, don't you ?

My main suspicion is how a hard up bar girl (she's not maximising her income reportedly) can afford to take a farang to Koh Samui AND Ko Pi Pi, and why she would?

She just paid for flight to Samui and I paid to get to Phi Phi and back to Bangkok. She offered and then paid for it like 3 weeks after. To be fair she didn't have much outlay there I paid for hotels and food/drink mostly. This is why I am posting as well though as it all seems like a weird scenario compared to most people's stories where people are sending money and getting milked where as mine actually folked out a fair bit of money for the flight and odd bits like paying for taxis and odd drinks here and there.

Like I say the plan was to visit 2/3 times a year for 2/3 years then try and get a visa for her but if that fails then god knows. To be honest I would rather live in Thailand but what work can you do over there that pays any real money? I work as croupier in a casino and gambling is illegal in Thailand!

The OP in my opinion is just a 24 year old kid and all this is a great adventure for him.

If the so-called love of his life is still in with the bar scene, than she is going with tricks, Johns, customers, however you like to describe them, no questions about it, 100%.

What should be the main concerns of the OP that if he has been having unprotected sex with a prostitute is the fact that he may have been exposed to HIV or aids and should have himself tested a.s.a.p. Because the odds are that this woman will never be loyal to 1 guy but probably has several on the go, paying or not, including as most have, a hanger on Thai boyfriend.

Many if not seeking an immediate earner will be looking for ways to obtain a residence and visas in the hope of living abroad and view the gullible farang as a means of leaving Thailand.

Whether the OP wants to face the facts and believe or not is up to him, and how far he decides to take this adventure is at his own risk and discretion.

Doesn't mean she is love of my life. If it ended now I wouldn't be devastated, I would be kind of relieved. Just don't have it in me to break it off. She has done nothing wrong for me to do it apart from work in a bar but how can I say that's wrong when all she is doing is trying to earn decent money to provide for her family.

let me get this straight. if she was no longer in your life, you'd be relieved. so obviously you'd rather she wasn't in your life but you don't have what is required to make your situation the way you would prefer it to be. so you do nothing? if that is truly the case, i suggest you have a much bigger problem than just her.

I said kind of relieved. It would take away all the worry down the line like if she decides in 3 years she doesn't want to come to UK or if visa gets refused. Let's face it I'm in my prime years and it's a risk and there's a chance I could end up wasting valuable years staying loyal to a thai bar girl I will see in person 6 weeks in a year. Right now I'm going to for the risk and see how it works out. If it doesn't work I will know for next time and learn from it.

Just don't like it how all thai girls seem to be put into the same category you know some must be different to others. She has said she is getting annoyed with the boss at work as they really want her to sleep with customers now but at end of the day she is still making them money with lady drinks etc. I just see something different in her than I do with other thai girls. Maybe I am completely wrong but I have been very vigilant over this situation and I am surprised I have not had any alarm bells go off yet. it's too easy to assume yeah she's a prostitute she's definitely no good.
