Just a python completely non venomous. Just use some thick gloves to pick it up because it has small sharp teeth. Thanks for not murdering it.

yes I am corrected. if you pick them up get hold of them just behind there head, but i recommend don't pick any snake up, treat them all as poisonous.

I agree consider all snakes potentially venomous but there's no need to kill every snake you see.

This time of year a lot of snakes come out to eat and breed this is a python and you can safely handle it. Just put a laundry basket over it with a heavy weight on top and take it to somewhere it can live in peace tomorrow.

it's a Reticulated Python . . . not really dangerous at that size.

They have a nasty bite, there mouths are full of bacteria. Thats enough not to get bitten by one. also there teeth are facing backwards and act like Velcro, very difficult to get off if they get there teeth in to you , you have to push your hand/arm forward to get the snake of, not try and pull back.

looks like a boa. If it is they can bite but not poisonous. they just squeeze you to death.

So it`s not all bad then.

Glad the OP did not murder the snake. Usually once these snakes are sent on their way they will move on to pastures anew. There is no such thing as a homing snake.
