Hello,

I'm trying to find an airsoft shooting range in CM and haven't come up with much here, or on Google. Preferably, it would be a place where you can rent from a selection of guns, buy some ammo and plink away at targets. A place somewhere within a 10-15 km radius of the city's center would be good.

I found a brief mention at Chiangmainews.com of a place called "The Fox BB Gun" that appears to have a shooting range. But that's the only one I've come up with so far and have no idea if it's any good.

Any suggestions?

There is one in the zoo, no idea if it qualifies as airsoft or good.

There are some very powerful gas powered pistols and rifles--it's just not so easy to get them in Thailand--I am in a forum and there are some available.

I have one that uses C02 cartridges and will fire steel ball bearings through a tin can--much like an air pistol.

To the OP--excuse the directions because it was several years ago but, if you are traveling around the Super highway in anti-clockwise direction, shortly before the Lotus Kamtian, Flower market area, is a left hand slip road which only goes to make a U-turn on the Highway--in other words the frontage road ends abruptly, here there is also a left hand turning to a small area of shop houses that back down to the river. OK, if you're still following my crap directions, well done, because opposite these shop houses 'USED' to be an Air-soft Shooting Club venue--now, since the previous but one Government brought out laws making the open sale of Gas Guns, either illegal or more difficult, this place may well have closed down. I seem to remember that another Air-soft shooting range was once open at back of Big C Hang Dong--but, again, this could have gone.

Hope that you find somewhere--if not, you can PM me and pay me to shoot my gas guns at anything you like!! Except my daughter's dog.

That place was called SWAT, and it has been closed for several years.

These days, there are fewer places to play, and most are somewhat outside of the city.

The Fox BB Gun (http://www.thefoxbbgun.com) is one of the best. They rent guns, vests, masks, etc. Call or Facebook them for their package price which includes bullets. Should cost around 350THB.

Also, on the Mae Rim Road just South of Nakornping Hospital there is a great airsoft field. They have about 10 guns for rent. Field fee is 50 THB, rental is 100 THB, etc.

And apparently, there are a few more, though they seem to move around every few years...

I might just check these ones out that you mention. My daughter is quite keen on shooting and this is a safe way for her to hone her skills.

There is a place called Hazard Paintball and Airsoft. It is located on the road to the Night Safari. I believe they have a digital shooting range for airsoft. They also have a variety of guns you can rent. Can't remember the number but they are closed on Mondays, unless you have reservation.

I've been to BlackOut BBGun and highly recommend even though I'm not big on guns.

Had my son's 13th birthday party there a few weeks ago. There is targets but also they have it set-up like a game where one shoots the other team (protective equipment provided). We had 18 ppl so we played between ourselves but one can play with whomever else is there. The operators were very friendly, involved and professional being sure the safety rules were being followed etc.
