First time Non O

I am currently working in Thailnad and has a Non B visa since many years back. Now it is time to slow down and I want to change to Non O.

When I asked at the Immigration office about the change they said:

"The first time you apply you only have to show 2 months with 800.000 in the bank. Next time it is 3 months"

Anyone else have the same experience?

That has always been the rule.

Note that on an extension based on retirement you probably will not get a work permit.

You can also use an income of 65K baht or a combination of money in the bank and income totaling 800k baht.

In case of a combination at many offices no seasoning of the money in the bank is required.

Ok,

I know about the monthly and it just struck me as illogical but after working here for 10 years one might just have to check.
