My IQ 9.2 has failed on what I think must have been a pushed update. I am in Tokyo and will have to repair the phone myself because I won't return to Bangkok until the end of November. I would like to recover it using ADB but I can't find a ROM online for the 9.2. (The backup on the SD card appears to be corrupt and won't pass checksum. All recover options generate the error "No Command.) Can anyone point me to one or tell me what other ROM is compatible with the 9.2? Thanks.

Thanks RichCor. Yes, I'm using sound up, power on recovery. I have downloaded the .zip but don't understand the directions in Thai exactly. It seems that you just copy the .zip to your sdcard and then just choose "apply update from sdcard." What is not clear is whether any location on the sdcard will do or whether there is a specific folder on the sdcard that the .zip must be put into. Also, I may need to use ADB since I suspect that I may have a locked bootloader since the phone's response to any recover command is "No Command." Having the .zip should make it possible. Many thanks! smile.png

Hi. I am still trying to figure out how to place the zip file on my sd card. Thet phone only proceeds as far as the splash screen. Android won't start so I can't enable USB mode on the phone. I've plugged it into the computer with it in its splash screen state but can't visualize the sd cards on Win 8 at all so I wasn't able to copy over the ROM that you referred me to. From power-volume up recovery mode, I wiped the data cache. After that, the phone won't start at all and it won't charge when the micro-USB cable from the charger is plugged in. I suspect that the battery is totally gone. It could be that something has gone haywire with the inner workings of the phone but perhaps the battery doesn't supply enough power for the phone to work properly. I guess that the phone repair will have to wait until my return to Bangkok. Thanks for the help!

You might also try power-volume up recovery and first try doing a Factory Reset

The micro SDCard can be removed and placed into an adapter for the computer to access as a normal Flash Drive (many computers have built-in memory card readers, just need the size adapter, or purchase a micro-SDCard/USB adapter and plug it into a USB port). Copy the files over that way. Then do the recovery/update.

Hi RichCor. I can't access the external SD (SD1) in recovery mode so it's no use to take it out of the phone and copy anything to it. All the phone will access is the internal SD card. All of the options on the recovery menu are answered with "No Command." I did the one thing that I could do which was wipe the data cache. After that the phone battery wouldn't charge and the phone wouldn't turn on. Since the battery appears to permanently dead, I ordered a generic one from aliexpress. Imobile won't ship overseas. It is possible that the source of the problems with my phone is the battery. I'll see if it works again after I receive and install the new battery.

Here's an update on the state of my IQ 9.2. I arrived back in Bangkok on the evening of Nov. 24 and took the phone to the I-Mobile repair shop in MBK the following day. They diagnosed the problem as a fried circuit board and offered to repair the phone free of charge. I picked it up today and it's working like new. Thanks, I-Mobile! I bought an extra battery for 299 THB since they say a battery only lasts for a year and I may not be in Thailand when the present one gives out.
