Hello,

I am currently on a non imm b, and i quit my job. my non imm b expires september 16, and i am currently in ubon.
i want to travel to vietnam, around Oct 12 for about 10 days, fly back into BKK, and then fly out again to KL Oct 24.

what should i do for a visa? can i do an in/out in chong mek for 30days? any feedback would be helpful. thank you in advance.

You can get a visa exempt entry at Chong Mek but it will only be for 15 days unless you are from a G7 country.

If you only get 15 days you can get a 30 day extension (1900 baht) at immigration in Phibun.

You can also get 30 day (by air) visa exempt entries for your other trips since you will be within immigration's guidelines.

thank you for your reply.
so would this be a good idea?

go to chong mek, get 30days via US passport
travel to vietnam by air, come back to bkk get 30days
travel to KL, apply for tourist visa in KL, and then leave when the tourist visa expires?

i mean, is there any other options that i should consider? like going to savanaket and appyling for tourist visa? i mean, i just dont want to waste any time on a ourist visa if i plan on leaving twice? or can reentry stamps be applied to tourist visas?

thank you in advance.

Using visa exempt entries for your short trips would be the easiest way to do it and then get a tourist visa for a longer stay.

You can get re-entry permits for tourist visa entries. They would be valid for the 60 days you get on entry.

you could leave the country before the Visa expires on the16 and then come back in and get another 3 months even though the Visa has expired; this is what I've been told by my lawyers at Siam legal.

That is for multi-entry non-imm visa only. From what we know the OP has single-entry.
