I've used their service and recommend it. I didn't really want to do Casinos or anything like that just a quick trip to the border and back.

Left on time, got back early. Comfortable new looking bus, efficient service and quick.

I will say that if you think its going to rain, wear something intelligent on your feet. The water cascades over the floor at the Thai immigration side when it rains at the border point they go to!

HTH,

Quibbler

Do you have to bring an umbrella with you? I have lost 5 of them this year already.

these entry stamp runs are visaruns.
I wonder, what is the name of the visa that these entry stamp visa runners get? The complete list of visa types, I believe, is here:

1. Transit Visa

2. Tourist Visa

3. Non-Immigrant Visa

4. Diplomatic Visa

5. Official Visa

6. Courtesy Visa

Which one of them is it?

Or perhaps these visa runners have a visa already, one that allows them more than one entry within a given period, and they leave Thailand and re-enter in order to activate a new entry of their existing visa. That’s why you call them visa runners. Is that it?

These stamps are known as 'transit visa' or 'visa on arrival'. Meant for those without a visa.

Another possibility is with visas based on a multiple entry visa (either TR or Non-Bee).

So the type of visa can be different.

These stamps are considered "Tourist Visa Exemption" .

There is no Visa Run Service from BKK to Mynmar, too far.

Hua Hin residents can go to Ranong/Victoria Point.

Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai resident can go to Mae Sai /Tachilek .

Alcohol drinking is not allowed on this “ThaiVisaRun” bus, it is a quite peaceful trip.

It shouldn't be allowed anyway. Anyone knows if there is a visa run service going to Burma?

You can catch a bus from Morchit to MaeSot and return next day.

Anyone knows which boarder does Thai-Visa-Run uses?

I did a visa run with them once & i must say they are good.

But this time i would like to take a drive there & do a boarder run myself.

Anyone who can give me a rough guide on how to get there would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance!

TallTravel,

When you enter Thailand you normally get a 30 day Visa, a Visa Run is done when an individual wants to spend more than 30 days in Thailand and dosent want to fly out of the country and then back in. It is usually done on the 28th or 29th day and it is best not to over stay the date stamped on the entry visa.

Thanks. I expect to be making trips north to some of the other countries, so that ought to take care of itself for some trips to Nepal, Myanmar, China, Japan, etc. Good to know the lingo though...

I do a run with Jack Golf. You'll find their ad in the papers.

B2,000 plus a photo. The trip to Cambodian border is around 4 hours. 90 minute stop over with free lunch and a foot massage. Friendly guides and a new bus with movies. You come back with a tourist Visa for 30 days. Saturday 7am bus is usually full but quiet other times. :o

Unless you are from a very small list of countries you do not obtain a tourist visa at the border (and in no event would it be 30 days). What most people receive is a 30 day permission to stay stamp for there visa exempt status or they enter on a visa they already have and obtain a 60 or 90 day stamp.

Hi Oz-Man ,

if you are from Bang Na , you do not have to travel so far .

Thai Visa Run leaves from Ekamai @ 09.30 am , cost is also THB 2K ,

or you can even go with the guys from Thai Visa Service ,they leave from On Nut @ 08.00am ,cost THB 1.9K.

Both offer faster service as Jacks.

Buy a ticket to Tak, and then catch a mini-bus to Maesot. Prepare a 10 dollars note, or otherwise the Burmese will charge you 500 baht.
