I am sure saner heads will prevail and a no better together vote will prevail. The Scott's have a fair deal and

it would be a mistake to step into the abyss. Can they be an independent country, of course. Look at former Yugoslavia.

and all the failed states of Africa. Would they be better of? Highly, highly unlikely. Both sides would loose in a yes vote.

Inverclyde no by 0.2%

With all the no votes coming in seems like the Scots have decided to take the low road and stick with the devils they know rather than the ones they don't.

Dundee yes 57%

Dundee yes 57%

The first YES.

West Dunbartonshire Yes 54%.

Dundee yes 57%

The first YES.

West Dunbartonshire Yes 54%.

Second YES. Could the tables be turning? Good stuff. On the edge of my seat waiting for more.

Midlothian (A bell weather area) No 56%

East Lothian No 62%

Stirling No 60%

Falkirk is a No..

Falkirk is a No..

53%

Supposedly a strong SNP are

Aberdeen is No..

Aberdeen is No..

My cousins will be happy

Angus No 56%

Dumfries and Galloway 66%

E Renfrewshire No 63%

N Lanarkshire Yes 51%

Perth & Kinross No 60%

S Lanarkshire No 55%

Glasgow is Yes, but it isn't looking good for the nationalists now..

Glasgow declared as Yes at 53%

Watching Sky TV and Kate Burley doing her usual 'in your face' interview technique. What a diva!!

People seem to have forgotten the 789,000 postal votes.

Aberdeen is No..

Well if true that means Alex Salmond could not even convince his own constituency.

Yes campaign must be disappointed at that.

Borders No 67%

W Lothian No 65% (I Think)

No needs 566,613 to win

Yes needs 767,269 to win

It's not important -- Westminster MP's have already started to talk about much more devolution for Scotland and even an English parliament ! thumbsup.gif

I think the yes voters dropped the ball using Mel Gibson as their spokesman. They should have used Fat Bastard, he has more credibility.

Borders No 67%

W Lothian No 65% (I Think)

Wikipedia has West Lothian as No: 55%

It's not important -- Westminster MP's have already started to talk about much more devolution for Scotland and even an English parliament ! thumbsup.gif

N Ayrshire No 51%

I would have thought that all it needs is the speaker kicks out the Scots and the Welsh MPs when talking and voting on English matters

think you have said this umpteen times. what is interesting now is whats the point of the SNP? Their very existence was for independence, they had the vote, lost so what now, another campaign for another referendum in 10, 20,30 years?

S Ayrshire No 58%

People seem to have forgotten the 789,000 postal votes.

I think the count of those is done at each area along with the personal voting so it's already been done.
