i will be away from my normal residential address ( holiday) during the time my report is due ... what do i need to supply ? i will be staying with friends .

You can make your 90 day reports to any immigration office but you will need a local address to put on the TM47 form. Some office may want proof of that address.

Another option is to mail it in to the office where you normally report.

As well as the standard TM47 you might need to submit a completed TM28 change of address form plus a TM30 form completed by the friend you'll be staying with as housemaster, if reporting to the immigration office in whose catchment area you'll be staying. Might be best to contact the particular office in question first, though, to ascertain their particular requirements, if your friend does not already know these.

If you went down this route, you might then, in theory, need to submit completed TM28 and TM30 forms with your following 90-day report which you would presumably make from home turf.

In all the circumstances, the most practical option, as suggested by ubonjoe, would be for you to mail your report to your normal immigration office so that they receive this at least 7 days before the due date. You should, however, put your normal address, instead of your friend's, on the return envelope with a 5 THB stamp for the confirmation notification slip, as problems might otherwise arise!

I did it my registered mail with return stamped envelope inside. You can download the forms from the immigration web site.

You have to send a copy of your relevant pages from your passport.

The were very polite and sent me a letter asking to send one more copy from the passport entry stamp that I forgot.

It works well. Give your normal residency address.

Well if your holiday is outside of Thailand of course you do not need to do the 90 day report, your returning TM6 card covers it,

How long is your holiday? You can do the 90 day reporting 7 days early or late.

@ubonjoe,

Here on thaivisa they still list that you have to report 7 days before or after the reporting date. I just confirmed from another site with more recent info, it seems, that you are correct. You can report up to 15 days early. http://www.apply-thailand-visa.com/90-day-immigration-reporting.html

Typical Thai logic here. If you go on vacation IN Thailand and report to a different office you have to report your local vacation address but if you do a border run at any border in the entire country while on vacation (re-entry permit in hand, of course) you just report your home address with no questions asked.

At least it's not a wristband or a microchip implant....
