Thais exhiliarated after catching glimpse of HM's return to Chitrada Palace from hospital

All Thais who awaited to receive His Majesty the King upon his departure from Siriraj hospital were deeply satisfied after they caught glimpses of the King traveling back to the Dusit Palace from the hospital. At the same time Siriraj hospital has put the total number of people who signed in the well-wishing lists for His Majesty's speedy recovery at 549,553 people.

A mass of people were still gathered at Siriraj hospital after the departure of His Majesty, as they proceed with thanking the divinities they revered all the while chanting out the song in commemoration of the King. Many have waited at the hospital for the King's departure since 7 in the morning.

In the afternoon (August 4) yellow-cladded people filled both sides of Ratchadamnoennok (ราชดำเนินนอก) road to wait for the royal convoy to approach. At 2.50 pm the royal convoy made its approach from the Rama VIII bridge, greeted by thousands of loyal subjects.

It was observed that His Majesty the King took photographs of the people that lined both sides of the road and smiled and waived to his subjects. Some people were so touched they burst out crying while others had tears rolling down their cheeks in joy of finally witnessing the king's eminence themselves.

The convoy moved through markedly slow, and this allowed for people to easily catch sight of their revered king.
