Popular Post Sparkles
Removed my gallbladder via laparoscopy at Sripat 2005 In and out in 24 hours, no problems since. Nice to hear as I am booked in with the same good doctor for exactly the same op October 8. Always important for me to have feeling of confidence with any medical practioner and he certainly ticked all the boxes during my initial consultation with him. If you wouldn't mind reporting back your experience, I'm sure it would be appreciated, certainly by me. I'm headed for that operation eventually. Well I'm back home after removal of seriously infected gall bladder, complete with colour photo of "that" removed and a phial of 7 stones which look more like tar and the largest at least 3 cm in diameter. So the procedure went like this .the day before the op I was in at 8 am for a pre op check which included 4 pages of blood work, chest , lung x ray and a general chat with a lady Dr explaining exactly what to expect and that I was all clear to go. Duly reported at 8 am next morning with my wife who stayed with me.allocated a budget room for 1,800 b for the 2 of us,very comfortable ,flat screen TV,DVD ,microwave ,fridge etc Went into surgery at 2 pm and was out of recovery by 5.30 pm Cant speak too highly of Dr Trichak, not only a splendid surgeon but a very pleasant bedside manner. The nursing staff were excellent checking BP , any pain, which there wasn't , at approx 30 minute intervals. Next morning saw Dr Trichak on his rounds at 8am and was discharged at 11 am. he explained the need to be on a very low fat diet for 8 weeks and to see him next Wednesday to remove stitches and monitor general condition. Wont go into costs as that will only bring the RAM haters out in droves but if you like I can PM you. I will say that the total all up cost using our VIP card turned out to be within 2,000 b higher than the quote I got from Mc Cormick. However I was swayed by, firstly Dr Morgan's recommendation and since the day she opened her clinic has never let me down and the deserved reputation of Dr/Prof Trichak. My advice if you are having this op to get it done as soon as possible, delay can mean sudden intense pain in some cases and Dr Trickak was surprised I hadn't suffered more discomfort as its obvious I have been carrying this condition around for some time, hence constant fatigue and repeated infection and loads of antibiotics.
PMNL
The last I heard, a couple of months ago, he doesn't do Sriphat, only Ram. He is still available at Stiphat only for surgery, not for consultation.
