Family and police are playing this very smart. Keeping the complete focus on Worat. Think about it. Why is he in the news so much if his family is that powerful? Why are all the online speculations about him permitted to continue? Two weeks from now everyone will believe he did it and stop looking at any other possibility, at which point irrefutable evidence will come to light that he couldn't have been involved. That'll shut up all the discussion on social media instantly. Some people have more direct family than 1 younger brother or 2 sons.

Indeed. There appear to be quite a few potentials in this family tree. The focus should be spread

..except their family tree appears to a cactus.

Full of pricks.

You are absolutely right to draw attention to these facts and the facts speak for themselve don't they, the Thai police are not going to charge any Thai's with murder, this will come back to bite them on the arse. I can't imaging the families of the victims ever letting this lie. Your a very commonsensical man.

Why most of you think the DNA of the semen belongs to the killer? She could have had sex with anybody the days and hours before she was murdered. Second the killer is not necessarily the same person that raped her no?

Yes, hypothetically it's not impossible that she had consensual sex with two Asians, and then she and the young man got brutally murdered just afterwards by others - but the plausibility of that is essentially nil. Outlandish. Cops surmise that there were probably 3 perpetrators (which is very plausible). Every young man has friends and family. If they reside in Bkk and/or the island, there are others who would have pertinent info as to their whereabouts and state of mind (did they bury soiled clothes in the ground? Did they arrive at a place early AM all sweaty and testosteroned out?, did they jump on a speedboat? etc etc.) Unfortunately, in Thailand, it's legal to harbor a criminal. And lying to police, particularly if you're from a powerful family is expected and excused. Phone records could show a lot.

I recall seeing a photo of Kristi Jones' parents arriving in Chiang Mai, many months after investigators there couldn't find a viable suspect for the murder/rape of their beautiful daughter. The parents were wai-ing the police commander after he had just told them he would do all he could to arrest and convict the murderer. Of course, the police commander was lying, and it was all done as a photo opp, and to give false hope to the parents and friends of Kristi.

This case will go down in the annals of infamy along with that one, plus these two:

>>> Chaleum's youngest son. After shooting a cop at close range with many witnesses (none of whom had the courage to speak up) the boy gained shelter at a Thai general's house (which, in a decent country would be 'harboring a criminal'). The son then ran off to Cambodia for several months. The dad said he didn't know where the boy was. Of course he was lying. Punishment? None.

>>> The heir to Red Bull fortune got off for killing a cop. Punishment: none.

.....and there are others. This case is a chance for Thai investigators to dig themselves out of the muddy hole of disrespect and arrest some real (not contrived) suspects. At the rate their going, it looks doubtful.

The CCTV footage of the suspect walking and running, has been cut to show the public just these particular clips. What about the hour before and after? Where is Hannah, and/or David, walking the same route. Why wouldnt this be shown, unless they were walking with their killer.

Slow down that video, and you will see another person to the bottom left of the screen just before it ends.

For those who may not have noticed my sarcasm in saying there was a second person in the CCTV, il say it clear. The video shows it has obviously been tampered with, spliced! You must watch in slow motion. The 'second person', is the suspect, walking exactly the same, not a reflextion. The CCTV is spliced.

WHY.

Indeed I now see that. Thank you for pointing that out. So who are the police covering up here in this footage and possibly other footage that they won't release ? What is this Thai fb page saying about it do you know ruthieb?

The time stamp jumps a few seconds as well ! Gosh this is so obvious now you have pointed this out.

This is another goddamn set up by the police !

So embarrassed for them for thailand and these families who deserve the truth

Are the idiot farang still going to the island?

On the contrary, this is probably the safest time to be visiting Koh Tao. The local murderers will have their tails (slightly) between their legs. The news of the last fortnight especially has evidenced that there are latent rapists and murderers all over Thailand. Koh Tao is no different to any other tourist hotspot. Edited by pasak

You're right. Wasn't he ruled out as a suspect like a week ago? So why come out now? Is he planning to sue for defamation? Arwhole!

His life is ruined because of one week of gossip? Come on! If he really is innocent he would be exonerated once the real guilty parties are found no?

Common, is this real? These crooks must be related to Gen Prayuth or something to be able to control the police, the news and people's mind. This whole reality live show is being directed by the wrong people. Individuals with no connection to power just cannot play this sort of games in Thailand.

You people need to get a grip. Seriously. The guy's been cleared a long time ago. He's got a solid alibi with corroborating witnesses. And then there's the fact that the whole family has been cleared of direct involvement via DNA testing of the father & uncle. Time to move on you <deleted> conspiracy junkies. facepalm.gif

Do you seriously believe that the junta that currently runs this country, including the PM at its head, would cover up for a small-fry island headman, thereby further damaging Thailand's international reputation and devastating it's upcoming high tourist season? When if they indeed had their man the arrest would make the whole furor die down? This is not the BIB, this is the army running the whole show. There's way too much lost money at stake here. Wake the F up.The botched investigation was bad enough. At least let the MFers see if they can go catch the real killers.

This kind of shit you're putting down here just adds fuel to the fire already smoldering, the hatred of the Thai against the many rabid farang they run up against on these forums.

As much as I agree with the sentiment of your post, still a few questions:

The corroborating witnesses, who? and why are they not all over social media defending this guy?

And why didn't his "lawyer" bring forward some of those witnesses instead of a photo, that doesn't prove anything?

As for the father and uncle being in the clear. That is only according to the police (who we all trust), who magically managed get their freeing DNA-results in recordtime.

Your post would be valid in most countries, but this is Thailand, where money talks and BS walks!coffee1.gif

There wouldn't be all of these conspiracy theories if it wasn't being played out like a game of <deleted> cluedo!
