Dear Friends,

Thank you in advance for reading my post. I have a question regarding the period of time which I may stay in Thailand with a business visa.

I have a one year business visa which expires on November 4th.

Every ninety days I have to leave and come back.

My last exit and return was on August 29.

The man who organized the visa run told me that although the 90 day time which is stamped is from Aug. 29 to Nov. 29. and the busness visa expires on Nov. 4th that...... if I leave again before Nov. 4th and come back that I would still have another 90 days. (which for example if I leave on Nov. 3rd which is still within the business visa period that I could stay until about Feb. 3rd).

I would just like to get some second opinions about this.

Might someone be able to share if this information may be correct?

Thank you very much. It is surely appreciated.

Correct, you must leave on or before midnight of the "allowed until .." entry stamp date, and do your last entry on or before midnight of the "enter before ..." visa date.

Note that 90 days from Nov 3rd brings you to Jan 31st, not Nov 3rd.

Yes, that's how all multiple-entry non-immigrant visas work. On every arrival in Thailand before the "enter before" date shown on your visa, you are given permission to stay for 90 days, regardless of the number of entries you make and regardless of the actual length of each stay, provided no stay is longer than 90 days.

I guess its worth while stating that with a considerable amount of Limited Company supporting paperwork, a single non-imm 'B' business visa can be extended from within Thailand practically indefinitely.

I am currently on my 8th year of extension to a single Non-Imm-B thumbsup.gif

If you have decent staff who can provide all the supporting paperwork that your local immigration office require, the extension route is very convenient; Your staff to do the 90 day reporting, you don't need to leave Thailand every 3 months, and you only need to show your face down immigration once per year... plus for an extra 100 bucks you can have them put a multi-entry visa in your passport for utterly hassle free travelling in out Thailand at any time whenever you want smile.png

Finally - once you have a few years extensions in your passport to that original non-imm-B visa, you've kept your nose clean, and you meet loads loads of other terms and conditions(lots and lots), you can apply or a Residence Permitwai2.gif

I hope you have things to do so you leave the country every 90 days, because if it is only to verify your adress every 90 days you can do that everywhere, and even by sending a copy of your passport and the filled from to the migration by post.

and and if you get a new visa or extension of stay in Thailand your 90 day report your 90 day report does NOT reset. you have to report around the date on the paper in your passport.

I had initially a b-visa for one year, then one year of extension of stay, then after 2 years I started to work for another company, so I had to revoke my WP and made my extension of stay invalid and then get a new B-Visa and then one year of extension of stay, And I have never left Thailand during these 3.5 years.

The OP did not say that he is employed in Thailand, nor does it look like he is.
