Hi,

I am a 22 year old Canadian girl. I have been teaching in Thailand for the past 15 months. I have now broke my contract due to personal reasons and am leaving my job to go back to Canada. My passport is currently in Bangkok at the embassy until the 22nd because I am getting a new one. I don't know if my work has cancelled my Non B Visa.

I want to go to Nepal to see a friend after October 22nd, and then I will come back to Thailand November 13th. This is because my mother is coming to visit. We will both go to Vietnam on the 15th, and come back to Thailand on the 24th of November.

My question is, if I am charged with overstay, will Thailand still let me back into the country twice? Is there a limit to how many tourist visas I can receive? I will have bought my ticket to Canada already and will have that printed out if they need to see it.

Any helpmis appreciated, thank you.

With a (short) overstay you will still be allowed back.

Yes, you will be allowed two entries.

From my understanding, "officially" you have 7 days to leave the country once your work permit is canceled. Maybe someone can confirm this. If you broke contracts and left your job, you should assume they canceled your work permit quickly after that.

There is no 7 days. The extension of stay ends on the date your job ends.

You have to apply for a 7 day extension when you cancel your extension of stay at immigration.
