Changing Tabien Baan

I am trying to change my yellow book in Udon Thani from Saraburi(wife's parent's home) to wherr my recently bought house is. They say they can change my wife and kids but not me. They say I have to change it in Saraburi as I am a foreigner.

Ayone any experience here?

I have the feeling they are talking throigh their ar*e.

You have to go to where your yellow book was issued to cancel it before getting a new one at your new residence.

Good luck with that. Although as you have a yellow book already, you'll be aware of the frustration applying.

It took us a couple of visits in Udon (amphur muang) to have one issued.

The first obstacle was always, that we weren't married - which is not a requirement anyway, but always thrown in. When pointed out we didn't have to be married, there was then some other reason, until eventually accepting that they would do it.
