Upon arrival, I had less than the $ 95 required for my 3 months' re-entry Visa. But they let me go out and find an ATM. Try that at LAX!

Microsoft's blocked my Hotmail account and no, I didn't bring the Thai mobile. and my recovery e-mail was closed by BT. The staff at the information counter let me use their PC. Am saying this to drive home how friendly the Vietnamese folks have been.

There are Hill Tribe people wearing the similar clothes to those near Mae Hong Son.They are originally from Laos and speak little Vietnamese. But they have Vietnamese passports and are not "stateless".

When I visited a local school I felt like a rock star! Seems they hadn't seen a Westerner in some villages I rode through.

The streets are pretty good - but watch out for the nasty deep potholes!

Had no camera and the mobile phone used is a cheap one. Apologies for the bad image quality!

I am guessing Kf6 rented the Dream in Vietnam.

Edit: sorry he writes 600$ Dream but I assume a Vietnam registered one.
