I have just purchased a 2010 320D, after viewing the owners manual it is in Thai. Just checking if any BMW owners on the forum have obtained the book in English from the dealer in BKK.

I am also looking for a workshop manual, but the ones I have viewed do not list the 2010 diesel model, so I am on the hunt for one of these if anyone has a supplier in mind.

Download the TIS from the internet. You'll have to do some serious searching though because a lot of them are early manuals or protected by a paywall.

The thing is, even on an E90 you'll need some diagnostic help. Reasonable versions available online also, which offer limited CIP.

I think Mortenaa has this and might be able to steer you in the right direction.

I had the same model car yes.

Actually I can share the manual here:

This is the US version, so it doesn't mention diesels.

As for repair manuals, they are not so readily available, but possible to get as a DVD download..

Many thanks for the info this is my first BMW diesel so I am trying to gather all the info I can.

I can get a lot of info from that download you provided but as you have stated no direct info on the 320 diesel engine. I have went through Google and there is no info on the N47 D20 177BHP engine.

I observed a workshop manual on E-Bay but that one is only up to 2008 diesel models.

Would you have any link to the download for the CD info, even if there is a cost involved I have no issue with this.

This is the full info on the model I have

BMW 320D E90 M-Sport 2010

On another subject the car is fitted with Run Flat's that have covered 26k, when time for change would you suggest going for normal tires.

TIS (Technical Information System) is the name of the workshop manuals in BMW speak.

It seems like 2009 and newer are quite hard to find on the internet without paying, unless you can read Russian, as there are plenty of those!

As Mortenaa has pointed out, ignore the USA websites offering TIS downloads as they won't be applicable to your car.

After opening the TIS manual on your computer you then enter the VIN number of the car and the TIS automatically filters information specifically for that VIN number including all options fitted.

2010 was the change over to the 184bhp motor in TH. The first ones came off the line around June or July. Make sure you download the appropriate TIS, otherwise it will be only partially helpful.

Since those tires are probably four years old or more, I would change them right away.

I have a Bluefin by Superchips that would probably fit your engine. Depends on the manufacture date of your car. Thats an actual remap, not a piggyback. +44hp :)

Does your iDrive have navigation?

I will need to take the car to my local Michelin garage and have them check over the run flats that are on the car at present, but after having a look there is a lot of tread still remaining

After driving the car for around 700km a few days ago I am more than happy with the factory performance. I will never be driving this car on Thai roads to what it is capable of.

Yes the car has the navigation package, another nice feature I found is my I Pod plugs direct into a USB port in the arm rest and all the info appears on the screen. The car is December 2010

Runflats tend to get hard and noisy after a while. New tires would make a huge difference!
