It's confirmed that Col. Rutjapong and two members of his staff will be coming to a special meeting of the Chiang Mai Expats Club (CEC) to present a program this coming Wednesday, October 22 at Le Meridien Hotel. The meeting starts at 10:30 am, but you should come early to assure good seating.

Col. Rutjapong prepared his talk, a Power Point presentation, based on questions submitted in response to a request in a CEC e-newsletter in early September. Over 200 questions were submitted, grouped, summarized and submitted to Col. Rutjapong and his staff in a series of meetings that two Board members of CEC have had with them in the past month. It is uncertain if there will be an opportunity for Col. Rutjapong and his staff to accept questions from the audience after Wednesday's program.

This is a rare opportunity for members of the expat community to hear the head of CM Immigration speak. The Board members of CEC are honored that he and his staff has accepted our invitation. Please remember the CEC meeting is at a five star hotel and dress respectfully.

The charge to attend the meeting is 120 baht for members of CEC and 200 baht for guests.

what language will he speak?

Did that Thai Visa meeting with immigration ever take place? I don't remember seeing the results. Or did I just miss it?

The Col did not speak English, so no news for us.

The presentation will be in English. One reason the questions were submitted so far in advance was so that the answers could be prepared in a language that was not the native language of the presenter.

A transcript of the meeting would be most welcome.

Yes, we submitted a request, in writing, to do video and transcript and so far haven't receive a response. You would be well advised to simply show up to hear for yourself. The meeting is open to the public.
