re entering with a non b visa

Featured Replies

Hello every one :). I'm now in bkk holding a one entry 90 days non b visa. I already used my one entry to get from Laos to Thailand. Now I want to go travel in Cambodia for a week or tow and come back to Thailand. What do I need to do to re enter Thailand with my visa? I dont mind loseing my non b visa and get a new tourist visa when I re enter. Is that even possibele when my non b visa still runs?

Thanks, Avichai :)

You can get a re-entry permit from immigration, single entry 1200 Baht IIRC.

This will protect your existing permission to stay, when you return you will be stamped to the same date as you have now.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

As soon as you used your single entry non-b for the one entry it allowed it became invalid for anything.

It will not effect doing a visa exempt exempt entry or applying for a tourist visa.

If you wanted to keep the remainder of the entry from it valid you get a single re-entry permit at immigration.

Wow! Thank u guys for the very quick help! Soo just to make sure I got all info right..If I go to Cambodia and come back to Thailand without getting the re-entery permit. I will get a regular tourist visa at the border? If soo for how long is the tourist visa? (Crossing by land border) and will it cost me money as well?

You will not get a tourist visa at a border crossing. You have to go to an embassy or consulate to get it. A tourist visa costs 1000 baht per entry.

You would only get a visa exempt entry at a border crossing. It will only be a 15 day entry unless you are from a G7 country that would get you a 30 day entry. There is no fee for getting an exempt entry.

You would have to pay $30 to get a visa on arrival for Cambodia.

I have 2 passports:

1 Israeli- my non b visa is on this one.

1 Austrian that expires about 4 months from now.

Is Austria on the G7?

You will only get a 15 day visa exempt entry. But it can be extended for 30 days at immigration for a fee of 1900 baht.

The immigration office is on Chaeng Wattana Road. Map and info on how to get there is here: http://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/location1.html

You will get it as soon as you have made the application and paid the fee of 1000 baht for a single entry.

You can also get it at either airport in Bangkok 24 hours a day on departure from the country. There are desks for them at departure immigration.
