Taxpayers' Tab For Trump's Second-Term Golf Excursions Crosses $26 Million Mark
That's not exactly going to help our trade deficit with Finland. 2024 trade deficit $4.9 Billion. Does the president realize his tariffs just made those icebreakers cost 20% more? Would have made much more sense to buy from Russia, imports sanctioned but currently not subject to tariff. Heck, we could'a got some of them fancy commie nukular icebreakers! -

@BangkokReady, you’re so right, I have resorted to YouTube a thousand times! I’m not the handiest, so I would truly love to get hands-on instruction from a professional craftsman who will spot my mistakes and help me get on the right track. -

The 30+30+30 leasing contacts in Phuket is over
How cute! So let me get this straight - Mr.A. bought some property in Phuket being promised 90 years of lease by real estate company's manager/owner. Later he found that deal was "fake" a.k.a. "not completely correct" So Mr.A. feels kinda "fooled" and "upset" and later he decides to cancel the deal. Real estate agency got 2-3%, owner 95%, the rest went into expenses. Now, Mr.A. requests to annul the deal and his money back, but most of the money gone. What options left to him? 1. Bring crooked agency to the court? Useless 2. Threaten the owner? Hm. Tough job 3. Bite the bullet and admit his fault? 4. Cry to every forum and newsgroups on Reddit about TH? 5. Find some farang ding-dong and sell the property to him? <<<< best choice, imno. Any other options? -

Anutin: Investigation into Bangkok Building Collapse to Take Months
Not likely, the steel usually has a several hundred percent safety factor. Even if it was under-spec, it is unlikely to be a primary failure point. The concrete is a more likely culprit, but even there, it was an incomplete building. There were a lot of walls and other reinforcing elements that had not been installed yet. If you want to talk about the people that are worried, the Chinese certainly, but where did the concrete come from.
