Is It Possible to Change from a Tourist Visa to Non-B in Ubon Ratchathani?

Hey,

I am wondering if it's possible to change from a tourist visa to a Non Imm B visa in Ubon Ratchathani? Or do we have to leave the country?

I know some immigration offices around the country can do this, but i have heard that it's not alway possible everywhere. I don't know about the immigration office in Ubon though.

Any help is much appreciated!

I am not sure about changing your Visa from Tourist to Non B. Maybe somebody else would know.

However, Ubon does not have an Immigration office. For Ubon Ratchathani residents the nearest immigration office is in Phibun ( near the Chon Mek / Laos border )

Thanks,

Yeah, it is the Phiboon office i am hoping to find out about. Sorry, if my post is misleading.

It's either that or i have to go to Savannekhet again to change visa, i suppose ermm.gif

I had to go to Savanaket to do that. Please be aware that the new office there is probably open now (nearer to the bridge). Worth checking before you go.

From recent reports ( including myself ), Phibun has been difficult to deal with the past few months. I think it had to do with the staff rotation and we just got a "difficult batch" :).

I had to go to Savannakhet myself because of the hassles in Phibun.

Bangkok immigration is only office in the country that can do the change.

Best to make a trip to Savannakhet where they now do visas on the same day you apply. Apply by 11 am and pickup your passport at 3:30 pm.
