NRC members are not obligated to declare their assets

Good point, the initial asset declaration should include a credible explanation for the wealth, follow-on declarations (asset declaration should be an annual requirement) would have to explain unusual increases.

A "credible explanation for the wealth" might work for someone who has been in a government / police job all their life, but it's not going to work for someone who has been in business all their life. And how do you account for family inheritance or gifts? Does the whole family need to provide asset declarations?

It would be good if people in these positions were able to explain their wealth, but it's not very realistic.

It's not hard at all. Just check their bank records. If there is a deposit of over a certain amount, check where it came from and ask for an explanation.

Bank records for how long?

This is as it should be.

Good People should not be subject to any inspection, judgement or requirements as their status affords them this "birth right".

Asking them to declare their assets will only cause a division in society.

Time to move on and let the Good People reform the Kingdom.

I know many people here, including myself, have said this many times. And I won't apologise for saying it again - what has changed, apart from the disappearance of some street vendors and reclaiming (albeit temporarilty) some beach-front real estate?

This is yet another case of 'the law is for everyone, while we have a different set of laws'. How is this different from the previous administrations? Ok some of you will reply and say that at least the previous administrations were 'democratically' appointed. Ok, I'll give you that - not about to launch into a debate on that particular issue. Be that as it may, and despite the blue-sky-and-everything-nice promises and the teary-eyed-vows to reunite the country and make it a happy one again, what has changed?
