Eradicate the soi dogs and most of your problems in walking a dog go away.

You are so mean, Thai love soi dogs so much that they even feed them every day.

I even know a farang who puts collars around their necks so they won't get kicked out of our moobaan.

But i agree, dogs should not run around like here in Thailand, so many accidents happen from that. I even see soidogs full of scabies beg for food in open air restaurants or Thai who put their dog on the table in restaurants so the soidogs can't sniff their butts.

2) dogs should not run around ... soi dogs with scabies ... thai who eat dogs.

Eradication of soi dogs can be done in many ways none to do with culling which is why I think your calling me mean.

Sterilization. Eventually they will die out

If you feed it, its yours campaign. That means take it off the street, vaccinate and take care of it.

Capture and removal to places where they can be looked after until natural death.

Mate i was just cynical, i totally agree with you that soidogs should not run around free.

I don't understand why Thai feed those dogs. I heard that if you put a collar around the neck of a soidog then it belongs to you and if it causes an accident then it is your responsability.

I bet that if i get a soidog under my motobike and know who the owner is (or the one who feeds it or put a collar around it's neck) that they will deny that it is their dog. Even if the dog sleeps behind their closed gate at night.

We have a farang here who put a collar around the neck of a soidog, all soidogs are kicked out of our moobaan except that dog. That dog opened my gate one day and mated with the dog of my friend (a high thai police-officer) in my garden. I babysit his dog sometimes. When i told that farang about it he didn't know how to react. (maybe he is reading here as well so i hope he learned from this).

I didn't tell the police-officer that the dog belongs to a farang who lives here because i don't want him to get into trouble. After all he only tries to help this dog and also he washes it sometimes but it runs around free every day. I also agree it is a nice dog who is not a nasty one but i just don't like the idea of farang trying to be smart this way. Now we only have this soidog here which is great.

One day we were at a temple and a pack of soidogs attacked a thai kid, all thai men got furious and grabbed wooden sticks to attack them. The dogs run away but i would say eradicate all of them asap.

just had a post on an ex pats site asking for donations for to neuter dogs in PHUKET, there are 10,000 of them.- bloody hell, if that is not an epidemic i dont know what is. and yes same same here more dog mess in the streets this morning its dam disgraceful, and yes i did have a german shepard in the uk, and i was well looked after.
